CircleFund Privacy Policy

Welcome to CircleFund. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

By using our application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

• Full name

• Phone number

• Date of birth

• Gender

• Email address (if provided)

• Profile photo (optional)

• Username

• Device information

• Operating system

• IP address

• App usage information

• Savings circle participation information

• Subscription status

• Customer support communications

With your permission, the App may access your device's contact list to help you:

• Find friends already using the App.

• Show you friends of friends who use the App (shared connections).

• Invite friends and family to join the App.

• Create and manage savings circles more easily.

We access your contacts only after you grant permission through your device, and we ask for your explicit consent before anything is stored.

Contact numbers are used once per sync to find accounts and are never stored. When you consent, we keep only links between accounts that matched — no numbers, plain or hashed. These links are replaced on every sync, expire after 90 days without a sync, and are deleted immediately when you stop sharing in Profile or delete your account.

When another member sees someone as a shared connection, your name may be shown to them as the person you have in common — only to members who already have you in their contacts or share a savings circle with you. To stop this, turn off contact sharing in Profile, which deletes your stored links immediately.

We will only collect and use contact information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account.

• Verify your identity.

• Allow you to create and join savings circles.

• Help you invite people from your contacts.

• Provide customer support.

• Improve the App.

• Detect fraud and abuse.

• Maintain platform security.

• Process subscriptions.

• Send account verification and login codes by text message.

• Comply with applicable laws.

If you choose to grant access to your contacts:

• We use contact information only for features related to invitations and finding existing users.

• We do not sell your contact information.

• We do not use your contacts for advertising.

• We do not send invitations without your action or permission.

CircleFund Basic is billed through the app store you subscribed from — the Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad, and Google Play on Android. Those stores process the payment and hold your payment details; we never see or store your card number.

Subscription payments are processed by authorized payment providers.

We receive your subscription status (active, expired or cancelled) so the App can unlock or lock the features tied to your plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device settings — see Support for step-by-step instructions.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

By providing your phone number and continuing, you consent to receive automated text messages from CircleFund, a product from Technia Innovations, for account verification and login codes only. We do not send marketing text messages.

CircleFund is an organizer only. It never stores, transfers or takes custody of any money, and it does not store any financial or payment information about you.

Contributions and payouts happen directly between members, using whatever payment method the circle agrees on.

What we do keep is the bookkeeping you create inside the App: who is in a circle, the agreed amount and schedule, the payout order, and which contributions and payouts members have marked as done.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your name and profile photo are visible to other members of a savings circle you belong to, so members know who is contributing and who is being paid out.

Your name may also appear to other members as a shared connection, as described in section 3.

We work with a small number of service providers that help us operate the App: cloud hosting and data storage, push notification delivery through Apple and Google, subscription status management, SMS delivery, and error and crash reporting. They process this information on our terms and only for the service they provide.

We may also disclose information if we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or of CircleFund.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open.

Contact links between accounts expire 90 days after the last sync, and are removed immediately when you turn off contact sharing.

If you delete your account, your personal details are removed. If you were part of an active or past savings circle, your entry may be anonymized (shown as "Member") rather than fully removed, so other members' records stay accurate and complete.

Backups are removed in the ordinary course of our backup rotation.

Access to your account requires the credentials you set, and we apply access controls on our servers so that users can only see the circles and contacts they are entitled to see.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and no service can.

You can:

• Review and correct your profile details in the App.

• Turn off contact sharing in Profile, which deletes your stored contact links immediately.

• Turn off notifications for the App in your device settings.

• Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

• Delete your account and request a copy of your personal data.

To request a copy of your data, correct something, or delete your account, use the in-app option or email us below. We respond within 7 business days.

The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your information is processed and stored on servers that may be located in countries other than your own.

We may update this policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will notify users through the App or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
